Dealing with waiting ๐Ÿ’œ

Wow! It’s been 16 days since I’ve been on here last! Well it has been a pretty crazy few weeks!
As crazy as it has been, the distraction has been awesome! We found out that one of our references has been held up but after it being resent we’re back in business! Waiting for our homestudy!

You know, as prospective adoptive parents, this journey is littered with waiting. Waiting for forms, waiting to schedule appointments, waiting for a baby! Although the waiting isn’t easy, it’s exciting to think of how our family could change soon.

For anyone who struggles with waiting like me, I think it’s important to enjoy life pre-family. Husbands and wives need to enjoy their time together. I strongly encourage making a list of everything you want to do before the baby comes (this applies to everyone though). Once you have that list, just start checking things off! It’s amazing how the littlest of things can create happiness. It can also help you focus on what you have, not what’s missing in your life!!

Attached is a great article for future adoptive parents to help conquer the wait!!

Always remember that miracles take time, and what’s coming to you is worth waiting for!
